Currency
We in Gojoseon use the "myeongdojeon" as currency. The myeongdojeon is a sword shaped bronze currency that was used since 3000 BCE. Myeongdojeon was used in exchange for services and goods instead of bartering. This currency has also been found in China outside of Gojoseon, implying the presence of active traded with the states of Yan and Qin from China. These coins can be found all over the Korean peninsula, but originated in Yan and Qi China.

At first, Gojoseon began as a society that relied on hunting, fishing, and agriculture. However, by the Middle Mumun period, the economy relied increasingly on agriculture. Agriculture was no organized or managed by elites, but rather embedded into the household.
